To visit Canada you:
a.. must be healthy. You might need a doctor's examination;
b.. must respect Canadian laws;
c.. will need a valid passport, proof of who you are or other travel documents;
d.. will need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) if you are from one of these countries; and
e.. may need a letter of invitation.
Canada does not pay for hospital or medical services for visitors. Make sure you have health insurance to pay your medical costs before you leave for Canada.
You may not be permitted to enter Canada if you have a criminal conviction, including a conviction for driving while impaired. Find out more about inadmissibility to Canada.

VISITOR VISA EXEMPTIONS
Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:
- citizens of Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel (National Passport holders only), Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Republic of Korea, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, San Marino, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Slovenia, Switzerland, United States, and Western Samoa;
- persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence.
- British citizens and British Overseas Citizens who are re-admissible to the United Kingdom;
- citizens of British dependent territories who derive their citizenship through birth, descent, registration or naturalization in one of the British dependent territories of Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn, St. Helena or the Turks and Caicos Islands;
- persons holding a valid and subsisting Special Administrative Region passport issued by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China;
- persons holding passports or travel documents issued by the Holy See.

To obtain a visa to attend this conference, you will be required to present a letter from the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society to the Canadian Embassy or Consulate when filling out your application. We are happy to write this letter provided that you have registered and prepaid the appropriate fee for the conference. Please visit our registration site if you have not already done so. Once your registration is complete please make note of your confirmation number and amount paid (you will need to provide these on the visa letter request form). Registrants will receive a visa letter sent via Airmail and facsimile (provided you supply a fax number) by filling out the form below completely.
Visa requests will be processed from June 2006 (registration opening) till September 1, 2006.

The Canadian Government will be validating registrants requesting a visa with the IEEE VTC Fall 2006 Registration Database. If the original registrant cannot attend and is designating a substitute the database needs to be updated or the Canadian Government will deny you visa.
The registrant is responsible to make these changes with IEEE Conference services.
