Visa Support
As of May 2011, Japan had visa waiver agreements for short stays, including conferences, with 61 countries and regions. Full details can be found here. Citizens of the European Union, USA, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea do not require a visa to attend the conference. Citizens of China (except those holding passports of Hong Kong or Macao) do require a visa, for 'Short-Term Business Affairs'.
The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society is happy to write a letter of support for all attendees of VTC2012-Spring, provided that a valid registration and full payment is received PRIOR to requesting a letter. Be sure to confirm that payment has been received before requesting a letter or the request will be denied.
Please register if this has not been done already. Make note of the registration reference number and amount paid (required for the visa letter request). Registrants will receive a visa letter sent via Airmail and facsimile (when a fax number is supplied) by filling out the form below completely.
Visa letter requests will be processed

The government of may validate registrants requesting a visa with the IEEE VTC2012-Spring Registration Database. By requesting a visa letter, we assume that you are happy for us to confirm your registration with the Hungarian authorities.
If the original registrant cannot attend and is designating a substitute the database must be updated or the visa may be denied. You can do this free of charge by contacting IEEE Registration Services. Note - if the name of the registration database does not match the name of the visa letter requested the request will be denyed. You must register - or have the registration name updated - prior to requesting a visa letter.
The registrant is responsible for making changes to their registration if necessary.
