IEEE VTC2019-Fall will include half- or full-day workshops to complement the overall technical program events. These workshops provide a more focused, in-depth venue for presentations, discussions and interaction. The workshop proposals will be peer-reviewed with a focus on submissions that inspire deep and interactive dialogue in topics that are of interest to the mobile and vehicular technology community.

Workshop papers will be published in the VTC2019-Fall conference proceedings and be submitted to IEEE Xplore (conditional on presentation by one of the authors at the workshop). Workshop papers will be subject to the same formatting and length requirements as papers for the regular technical sessions (5-page limit for paper submissions, plus a maximum of 2 additional pages for $100 per page for the final version).

The IEEE VTC2019-Fall Technical Program Committee invites submission of proposals for full-day or half-day workshops on topics of interest to the conference, such as (but not limited to:

  1. Antenna Systems, Propagation, and RF Design
  2. Signal Transmission and Reception
  3. Spectrum Sharing, Spectrum Management, and Cognitive Radio
  4. Multiple Antenna Systems and Cooperative Communications
  5. Radio Access Technology and Heterogeneous Networks
  6. Green Communications and Networks
  7. IoT, M2M, Sensor Networks, and Ad-Hoc Networking
  8. Wireless Networks: Protocols, Security and Services
  9. Positioning, Navigation and Mobile Satellite System
  10. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Communications, Vehicular Networks, and Telematics
  11. Electric Vehicles, Vehicular Electronics, and Intelligent Transportation
  12. Future Trends and Emerging Technologies
  13. Recent Results

For topics outside these focus areas, please, consult with the workshop chair prior to a proposal submission.

Submission Procedure

The proposal (maximum 6 pages) should concisely describe the content and objectives of the workshop, and must include:

  • Title of the workshop
  • Duration of the workshop: full day or half day
  • Description of the workshop topic, and a draft version of CFP (not exceeding 500 words)
  • Short description on how the organizers plans to attract quality submissions
  • Preliminary list of invited speakers (if any)
  • Past records (if any)
  • Short bio of the organizers
  • Tentative program committee
  • Contact information of the organizers (including name, affiliation, mailing address, and e-mail address)

Proposals should be submitted in a single PDF file, not exceeding six pages, to the following email address vtc2019fall_workshops@ieeevtc.org with subject matter VTC2019-Fall Workshop Proposal: Your Workshop Title

After a workshop proposal is accepted, the organizers should create a web page for the workshop and notify the workshop chairs of its URL. The main conference web site will provide a link to each workshop. The paper submission process will be arranged and handled by the online TrackChair system.
